Johannesburg, 24 December 2021 – Global mobile brand itel has announced resident Kreshen Naicker as the grand prize winner in its itelMyStory competition. The announcement was made on 15 December by songwriter and actor Big Zulu, who is also the itel brand ambassador in Mzansi.
Kreshen Naicker walks away with R10 000 in cash after entering the competition which ran to celebrate itel’s recent deal, offering the Vision 1 Pro smartphone at a new price of R1 249, simlocked to Vodacom.
Since November, a number of South Africans have won itel Vision 1 Pro’s and hampers across radio, print and social media platforms as part of the itelMyStory campaign.
Itel asked everyday South Africans to share their most inspirational stories of how they managed to overcome adversity to achieve their goals.
Some of the winners who took to Jozi FM (Gauteng) and Vuma FM (KwaZulu-Natal) to share their stories and walked away with new Vision 1 Pro smartphones, are:
1. Moses Ngwenya
2. Ella Ntuli
3. Siphelele Khoza
4. Mpho Ndimande
itel is determined to make smart technology even more affordable for South Africans, which is why it teamed up with Vodacom to offer the Vision 1 Pro for R1 249 – a massive reduction from the previous retail price of R1 699. These devices are simlocked to Vodacom.
The move has been hailed as a game-changer for the consumer seeking reliable access to technology at a price that suits their pockets.
The smartphone has a powerful Triple AI Camera that guarantees sharper imagery, while the 1600×720 HD + IPS waterdrop fullscreen, supported by a 1.4GHz Quad Core Processor, offer users lightning-fast speeds. To top it all, the Vision 1 Pro boasts a massive 6.5″HD+ display with a powerful 4000mAh big battery.
Itel has also embarked on a groundbreaking campaign to help alleviate the country’s unemployment crisis by empowering township entrepreneurs through the provision of infrastructural support in their communities.
The initial campaign roll-out included donations of repurposed shipping containers to small business owners in the townships, allowing these entrepreneurs to significantly grow their operations and create employment opportunities.
“We want to continue engaging with our consumers through the itelMyStory campaign and be inspired by the stories of everyday South Africans who have overcome adversity,” says itel PR manager Zikona Captain.
